Speakers:

  • Senator Rob Black, Chair of PARO advisory committee
  • Belinda Leach, Founding facilitator and Professor at the University of Guelph
  • Storytellers – Learn about the stories behind the stories! Our PARO storytellers will share their stories and their experiences working with PARO.

5:50-7:00 p.m. Storytelling Workshop

  • Learn more about the storytelling process behind PARO, and how you can put together a pitch for your own rural stories!

The People’s Archive of Rural Ontario (PARO) is a collaborative virtual project which seeks to create a world where bridges of understanding are built between the urban and the rural, and where rural voices and stories are valued. We have been building a widely accessible (and continually growing) online repository of diverse stories from across rural Ontario.

Please spread the word about the celebration and about the project, as we are continually seeking out stories for our repository of rural Ontario stories and experiences!
