Trauma, Yoga and Sensory Repair: Exploring the neurobiology of chronic trauma experiences and interoception in healing

Note: Please bring your yoga mat for a brief yoga practice before the talk. Meriel aims to ensure trauma-informed safe spaces for all people to experience yoga.

Highly respected grassroots activist, facilitator, yoga practitioner and speaker, Meriel Goss will be speaking about Trauma, Yoga and Sensory Repair: Exploring the neurobiology of chronic trauma experiences and interoception in healing.

Meriel is a UK-based yoga practitioner and facilitator living in West Wales. Meriel has been a certified Trauma Centre, Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY-F) Facilitator since 2018.

Meriel supports local people who have been sexually assaulted and practices Trauma Centre, Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) as a multidisciplinary therapeutic intervention for people who’ve experienced chronic inter-relational trauma. She is part of two collective communities working to welcome those seeking sanctuary from war, torture and crisis from around the world to Wales.

Having contributed to voluntary, grassroots activist groups since childhood, Meriel explores embodied resources to enable you to avoid burnout and overwhelm.

Meriel lives in a forest near the sea in West Wales, UK. She builds retreat cabins for guests to immerse in nature using natural materials within the immediate landscape and aspires to live sustainably within her present ecosystem.
