Ontario Agricultural College food economist Dr. Mike von Massow has been in demand by several media outlets for his expertise on the Competition Bureau’s investigation into grocery prices. 

Von Massow has appeared on Global News Morning, CBC News Network and spoken with CBC Radio and CBC News Online, among other outlets. 

He has said he welcomes the investigation but commented that Competition Bureau’s decision not to probe the relationship between grocery chains and their suppliers is a missed opportunity. 

“I think they’re missing the point by not looking at the relationship with suppliers,” he told CBC News Online. 

A professor in the Department of Food, Agriculture and Resource Economics von Massow researches retail and restaurant food demand, supply chain management, and value chain structure and performance.
