Adding an extra layer of safety and security during the COVID-19 pandemic, U of G has become a cash-free campus.

In light of the uncertainty around whether the disease can be transmitted via paper and coin currency, U of G has decided to play it safe. We will no longer accept cash for purchases on campus.

All transactions will be carried out using plastic – debit and credit, as well as the U of G ID card for the U of G meal plan for students or the Express Plus Credit Account for full-time faculty and staff. Meal plans can also be used at Brass Taps and a host of off-campus partners.

The cash-free environment includes the library, dining outlets, the Bookstore, parking and all independent commercial stores within the University Centre.
