Dr. Julie M. Simmons, a political science professor in the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences, discussed the current relationship between the federal and Ontario governments with Le Devoir.

“It remains to be seen whether the use of the notwithstanding clause will cause friction during public health funding negotiations” between the two governments, Simmons said.

A professor in the Department of Political Science, Simmons researches Canadian politics, public policy and administration, with a focus on democracy and accountability in federal-provincial relations.
