Dr. Nita Chhinzer, a professor in the Department of Management in U of G’s Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics, spoke to CBC News Online about the ongoing debate about who should foot the fill for paid sick days.

Chhinzer said the issue isn’t being addressed quickly enough, and many businesses are being closed because of outbreaks, which leaves workers vulnerable and unable to earn income.

She also appeared on several CBC Radio morning shows to discuss the same topic, including Ontario Morning.

Chhinzer researches many aspects of employment ethics and recently wrote a commentary for Conversation Canada about paid sick days.
