Earlier this month, Indira Naidoo-Harris, U of G’s AVP of Diversity and Human Rights, took part in a diversity and inclusion conversation with Shakiba Shayani, President and CEO of the Guelph Chamber of Commerce.

In their discussion, Naidoo-Harris and Shayani address the importance of fostering inclusive environments and the equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives and programs U of G offers.

The conversation was recorded as part of a series the Chamber is running to address equity, diversity nd inclusion (EDI).

“The University of Guelph is committed to equity, diversity and inclusion on our campuses and in our communities,” says Naidoo-Harris. “It is imperative that U of G fosters a safe environment for working, teaching, learning and living and provides community members the opportunity to experience an authentic sense of inclusion and belonging.”

U of G’s Anti-Racism Action Plan commits the University to taking swift and deliberate steps to address racism, hatred and discrimination. The plan was developed through extensive consultations with students, faculty, staff and the broader community.
