Join us on Thursday, June 29 for a special talk by Dr. Soumya Swamithana, Chairperson, M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation & Former Chief Scientist, World Health Organization. A pediatrician from India and a globally recognized researcher on tuberculosis and HIV, Soumya Swaminathan brings with her 30 years of experience in clinical care and research. As the WHO’s inaugural Chief Scientist, she played a vital role during the pandemic in coordinating scientific efforts at the WHO. This event will include the opportunity for questions and mingling, the talk will look at, Lessons From the Pandemic For Science and Public Health. This event is co-hosted by the Canada India Research Centre for Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE), the One Health Institute (OHI) and the Office of International Strategy and Partnerships (OISP).
