The Art Gallery of Guelph (AGG) is partnering with Improvisation Festival 2023 to welcome the sunrise with Guelph’s spoken word artist Truth Is … , performing alongside a world premiere by drummer Marshall Trammell.

This performance is one of many held during IF 2023, a 24-hour celebration of the improvisational arts taking place from 7 pm on October 20 to 9 pm on October 21. The festival, centred on the theme Restless Imagination: Improvising the New Normal, will take place at the new ImprovLab and across the University of Guelph campus, showcasing legendary and emerging improvisational performers mixing skill, vulnerability, and daring to make meaning out of this moment.

While the festival is completely free and open to all, attendees are encouraged to reserve a free pass as some festival performances will have limited space. Presented by the International Institute for Critical Studies in Improvisation.
