As part of STEM Week 2019, the Department of Physics is sponsoring a public talk by U of G physics grad and former Canadian Space Agency prospect Scott von Bommel.

Von Bommel’s application of physics fundamentals to planetary science challenges has allowed this former Gryphon to explore Mars through multiple rover missions, the southern reaches of the world in the hunt for space rocks, and nearly above the Karman line as a shortlisted astronaut with the Canadian Space Agency.

This presentation is aimed at an undergraduate level and is open to all.
