The Landscape Architecture program in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development presents a guest lecture entitled “Think Different, Plan Different, Change Outcomes – Rural Development Planning in Tanzania, Mozambique, and Colombia”, by James Dobbin.

James is the founder of Dobbin International (DI), a global leader in strategic spatial development planning of land, coast, and ocean environments. Mr. Dobbin has led projects in 106 countries in national, transnational, and local regions. The geographic range of his work has covered large regions in Canada, the United States, the Caribbean Region, Central and South America, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and East Asia.

His clients include government, private sector (e.g., agriculture, forestry, tourism, infrastructure, mining), international financial entities (the World Bank, IFC), UN organizations, and nongovernmental organizations. All are welcome to attend the lecture.
