The University’s normal business operations will be reduced on Monday, Sept. 7, 2026 for Labour Day. Normal operations will resume Tuesday, Sept 8.
What’s open
Service areas open on Monday, Sept. 7 include:
- Athletics Centre
- Reduced hours
- University Centre (excluding Chef’s Hall, Brass Taps and The Lookout Patio + Grad Lounge)
- Main floor is open
- Hospitality Services main dining halls will be open. See Hospitality’s move-in weekend hours.
- Ontario Veterinary College Health Sciences Centre, including the Companion Animal and Large Animal Clinics and the Farm Service Clinic
- Emergency referrals only
- Smith Lane Animal Hospital
- Hospital is closed. For after-hours emergencies during the holiday period, please call 519-823-8830 for further instructions on obtaining emergency care.
- Animal Health Lab
- On Monday, Sept. 7 the laboratory is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to receive samples only (no testing performed). Sample drop-off in vestibule is available 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- The Arboretum
- Grounds are open, buildings are closed
- Residence Desks – see hours on the Residence Desks website.
- The McLaughlin Library is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 7
