On November 11, as U of G honours those who have served and continue to serve during times of conflict, we offer you two ways to take part in this year’s Remembrance Day ceremonies.
In-person
10:30 to 11:05 a.m. – Branion Plaza to War Memorial Hall
Students, faculty and staff are invited to take part in an in-person Remembrance Day event that begins in Branion Plaza. The event includes:
- Remarks from President Charlotte Yates
- A community procession to War Memorial Hall and gathering in Alumni Plaza
- Laying of wreaths
- Last Post and Reveille
- Moment of silence
Attendees must follow all U of G COVID-19 safety protocols. You must wear a mask while attending this outdoor event and must be vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption to attend campus. Remember to complete the COVID-19 Daily Screening Form and follow its direction before coming to campus.

If you are working or learning remotely, watch U of G’s online Remembrance Day ceremony. The ceremony will include:
- Last Post and Reveille
- Remarks from President Charlotte Yates
- A performance by the U of G choir
Wherever you are on November 11, we encourage you to observe a moment of silence at 11 a.m. and reflect on the sacrifices made by those who have served during wars and conflict.
