The White Coat Ceremony celebrates the transition a student veterinarian is making from pre-clinical learning to the applied learning they will experience in their final year, working with veterinarians in managing clinical patients both within OVC and at external placements with our community partner practices.

Speeches are given by the Ontario Veterinary College dean, Ontario Veterinary Medical Association, College of Veterinarians of Ontario and the OVC Alumni Association. The head of clinical program then speaks and each student is announced and ‘coated’.
