Mending Masculinity is a collaborative spoken word tour featuring Kavi Ade and Vision. Utilizing their separate lenses (as a transgender queer person and a cisgender heterosexual person), the artists will engage participants in a guided self-reflective discussion based on gender socialization, binary ideas of gender, subconscious misogyny, gender bias, redefining masculinity and more. The discussion will then transition into a generative writing workshop to develop poems, prose and free thought pieces with the guidance of the artists.
