March 15 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Bokashi composting is a simple way of treating kitchen waste right in your home. There is almost no odor and it’s simple to do. This workshop will provide you with all of the knowledge you need to be successful with this technique.

Bokashi can be done in special commercial vessels with purchased bokashi bran but it can also be done in simple DIY pails and homemade starter bran. Both options will be discussed. The bokashi process may have some environmental benefits over traditional composting and we’ll have a look at that as well.

If you are going to take this course it is a good idea to also take Introduction to Composting for Gardeners.

Fee: $10 (plus HST) per person.
