The University of Guelph community is mourning the death of Dr. Chantale Pinard, professor of Ophthalmology in the Department of Clinical Studies, who passed away on Nov. 11, 2025.
Pinard’s obituary is available on GuelphToday. A memorial service will be held on Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. in the Summerlee Science Complex Waasamowin (Atrium) at U of G.
OVC Dean Jeffrey Wichtel shared a message to his colleagues about Pinard’s impact on the College and invites friends and colleagues to contribute to the Dr. Chantale Pinard Award for Clinical Teaching Excellence to honour her dedication to teaching in the OVC Health Sciences Centre.
