Welcome to the 2024 Fall semester U of G Colleagues! We hope you enjoyed your summer and are ready to jump into this new academic year.

HR Learning & Development is here to support your journey with a wide variety of professional and personal development opportunities that can connect you to others, enhance your relationships, help you focus and manage your priorities and build new skills for your current and future success.

Making a return due to high demand are:

What’s new? And what’s next?

We successfully launched our interim development opportunities registration system in June 2024. This Qualtrics based solution is easy to navigate and will serve us well until we have our Learning Management System targeted to be in place in 2025.

Two new initiatives will be available later this fall:

  • Leadership Hub: Your source for leadership development and resources
  • New Manager Orientation Program: This will augment the existing NEW @ the U by focusing specifically on the information, resources, and supports for Managers new to managing people or new to managing at the U of G.

Many of our in demand technical and leadership programs are once again on offer. You can view all the sessions scheduled by visiting the Events Calendar or browse by category on our Development Opportunities page.

If you are interested in customized learning, support for a change implementation, team development or a facilitated process for planning or decision-making, you can contact us at landd@uoguelph.ca.
