Flags on the University of Guelph’s campuses are being flown at half-mast to mark the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Following government protocol, flags will return to full mast after the Sept. 19 memorial service for the Queen.

The date of the Queen’s funeral will be marked with a federal holiday in Canada. Unless the Premier of Ontario also declares Sept. 19 a holiday, in Ontario only federally regulated workers will have the day off work. When that decision is made by the Premier, the University of Guelph will share an update on University operations for that day.
