U of G will raise the Métis flag in recognition of Powley Day on Sept. 19. Powley Day marks the Supreme Court of Canada’s decision to recognize Métis harvesting rights as protected under the Constitution. 

Students, staff and faculty are invited to gather at the Indigenous Student Centre from 10 to 11 a.m. on Sept. 19 to hear more about Powley Day from members of the Grand River Métis Council.
