PhD candidate Ajwal Dsouza

School of Environmental Sciences researchers Dr. Thomas Graham, and PhD candidate Ajwal Dsouza investigated the connections between space exploration and technological advances in agriculture in a Conversation Canada commentary. 

The article appeared in dozens of publications, including Yahoo! News.  

The PhytoGro Research Chair in Controlled Environment Systems, Graham’s research projects include the use of vertical for tree crops and bioregenerative life-support for human space exploration. He is also a jury member on the Deep Space Food Challenge. 

Dsouza researches the role soil plays plant growth in outer space and in cities.
