Take Care of Your Mental Well-Being During Be Well, Be Safe Week

From May 3 to 7, U of G celebrates its annual Be Well, Be Safe Week in recognition of National Mental Health Week and North American Occupational Safety and Health Week.

This year’s free online event offers workshops and presentations throughout the week to help boost your mental well-being and promote workplace safety.

“We are committed to working together to support the well-being of the whole person and providing a vibrant workplace that is inclusive and respectful, where everyone is valued,” says Martha Harley, associate vice-president (human resources). “Mental health and workplace culture is an important pillar in our Wellness@Work initiative, which follows Excellence Canada’s healthy workplace model.”

Organized by the Wellness@Work programming committee, Be Well, Be Safe Week is designed to help faculty and staff build skills and strategies to enhance their wellness, connect with colleagues and support a healthier workplace culture.
