Prof. Michael Von Massow, Food, Agricultural and
Resource Economics, was interviewed by CBC News Sept. 30 for a story on the impending merger of agricultural companies Bayer and Monsanto. He said the merger will do little to change the discussion of genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Most Canadians likely don’t know how many GMO foods they eat, Von Massow said. He studies agri-food value chains, food waste and sustainability.
