The Toronto-based show asked Smith about the challenges associated with transferring animals when a zoo closes. Smith was also interviewed by CBC News June 1. Smith discussed the recent shooting of a male gorilla at a Cincinnati zoo after a child fell into its enclosure. Smith studies zoo animals and international wildlife conservation.
