Prof. Linda Mahood, History, was interviewed by the Toronto Star May 21. She discussed the history of hitchhiking and why it is no longer as popular as it was in the 1970s. Mahood is currently writing a book on hitchhiking in Canada. Her research focuses on 19th and 20th century British and Canadian history, and 1970s youth culture.
