A book that looks at famous Canadians and their pets, written in support of OVC’s Pet Trust, was featured on CTV’s Canada A.M. today.

Live-Love! Famous Canadians and the Pets They Love features pet stories by 30 notables, including Brian Williams, Chris Hadfield, Don Cherry, Bob Rae, Margaret Atwood, Rick Hansen and Valerie Pringle.

Williams, a noted Canadian sports broadcaster who has hosted Olympics coverage several times for Canadian networks, and the author of the book, Nancy Silcox, were both interviewed.

Williams also attended and spoke at the book launch on Nov. 6 with his dog, Dora.

Book sale proceeds support OVC Pet Trust at the University of Guelph’s Ontario Veterinary College. Pet Trust funds innovative research to improve the health and well-being of pets.
