DESCRIPTION:The Positive Space Project is an initiative on campus to develop an LGBTQ2SIA+ awareness and informational training (both online and in-person) for U of G faculty and staff. As part of the training development\, organizers will create videos about key concepts such as pronouns\, coming out and allyship.   \nLGBTQ2SIA+ faculty and staff at the University are invited to take part in filming these videos\, prioritizing BIPOC (Black\, Indigenous\, and People of Colour)\, disabled\, and/or trans or non-binary individuals. The time commitment is approximately two hours\, although this is flexible with your schedule and how many videos you are interested in filming. Presentation Boot Camp: Put It In Practice is for students who would like to practice their presentation skills with a supportive group of staff and students. In a small group\, you will present a short (5-8 minute) academic presentation and receive practical\, timely feedback on your presentation skills. You will also expand your knowledge of presentation skills by giving feedback on other students’ presentations. \nWe highly recommend that you enroll as well in our morning workshop\, Presentation Boot Camp: Fundamentals\, which will feature a series of hands-on sessions on a number of presentation skills and strategies.
