DESCRIPTION:The 2024 ICCI Cancer Research Symposium is pleased to be back in-person this year! The symposium will take place on Thursday May 23 in the Ontario Veterinary College’s new learning wing\, room ECLA 1720\, with an online livestream via Teams. \nWe are planning an amazing day of speakers and presentations\, including Dr. Chand Khanna of Ethos Veterinary Health\, Animal Clinical Investigation and The Oncology Service as this year’s keynote speaker. Also joining us will be Dr. Albiruni Razak from University of Toronto and Princess Margaret Cancer Centre\, and local speakers TBA. \nVisit the ICCI Cancer Research Symposium website for more details on the event along with links for registration and abstract submission. DESCRIPTION:Would you like to practice your pronunciation and intonation in English with a group of friendly colleagues? If so\, join us on Wednesday afternoons in June! \nWhat will we learn?: It’s up to you! You will receive an anonymous survey before the session starts. In this survey\, you can share the English language sounds you want to practice. The facilitator will create lessons based on guidance from the survey results. \n\nLocation: McLaughlin Library\, Room 109\nDates: June 5\, 12\, 19\, 26\nTime: 1:30 to 3 p.m.\n\nAfter registering for this event\, you will be invited to join an Academic Support Community for English language learners on Microsoft Teams. Writing and Learning Services staff will post regular updates about events to the group. You can also use the group to make friends and connections.
