DESCRIPTION:Trick or Eat is a youth-led national event that puts a new spin on the annual night of giving – Halloween! Thousands of Trick or Eaters across Canada\, go door to door to collect food for local community organizations\, and funds to support students advocating for good food for all. Trick or Eat is a national day of action\, for young people to come together and actively show that they want to see a difference on the issue of hunger on their campuses and in their communities. \n1\,000 students will go door-to-door in the City of Guelph collecting food for the Guelph Food Bank and the CSA Student Food Bank. In the past\, U of G students have set national records\, raising over 44\,000 pounds of food in one night\, equaling over $100\,000. \nGather in the University Centre (UC) Courtyard at 4:45 p.m.\n• CFRU will be DJ-ing and broadcasting live!\n• There will be costume prizes and snacks! \nHop on a schoolbus\n• You will go to a local neighbourhood school\n• You will receive grocery carts for collecting food donations\n• Your team will walk door-to-door on a collection route\n• You will return the cart (full of food!) to your drop-off spot \nHop back on the bus\, and you’ll be brought back to the UC by 8 p.m.. \nRead more about the event in the Guelph Today.
