SUMMARY:ONLINE: Finding and Using OERs in the Classroom: The Sciences
DESCRIPTION:Looking to incorporate open educational resources (OERs) into your courses? The library is hosting discipline-specific workshops focused on finding and using these materials for your class. \nOERs are educational materials (including textbooks\, modules\, streaming media\, simulations and much more) that are an exciting alternative to commercially published textbooks and other course materials. SUMMARY:ONLINE: Director's Fundraising Challenge to Support Student Athletes
DESCRIPTION:The Manulife and TD Insurance Director’s Fundraising Challenge – Give to Gryphons is a four-day giving challenge to support student-athletes. The challenge takes place the week of July 20 and culminates in an hour-long virtual event and celebration presented by Swish at 7 p.m. on Thursday\, July 23. \nDue to the health concerns surrounding COVID-19\, the University made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s President’s Golf Tournament\, which annually funds over 20 athletic scholarships for our student-athletes. \nAs a result of this cancellation\, we have a shortfall in our scholarship support for our student-athletes. This is where the Manulife and TD Insurance Director’s Fundraising Challenge comes in. \nIn a year when our economy is struggling and there are fewer summer job opportunities\, the importance of scholarship support has never been higher. \nWith your help\, we are committed to continuing to provide our student-athletes with scholarship support during this challenging time and will direct 100% of the proceeds of this week-long challenge to assist them. We ask you to consider donating to support our incredible student-athletes.

SUMMARY:ONLINE: GenEq Webinar - Gender Equity in the Time of COVID-19
DESCRIPTION:The COVID-19 pandemic has undoubtedly created a multitude of pressures for everyone in our community.
