DESCRIPTION:Trick or Eat is a youth-led national event that puts a new spin on the annual night of giving – Halloween! Thousands of Trick or Eaters across Canada\, go door to door to collect food for local community organizations\, and funds to support students advocating for good food for all. Trick or Eat is a national day of action\, for young people to come together and actively show that they want to see a difference on the issue of hunger on their campuses and in their communities. \n1\,000 students will go door-to-door in the City of Guelph collecting food for the Guelph Food Bank and the CSA Student Food Bank. DESCRIPTION:Dr. Jonna Mazet\, UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine\, will present the 2016 Schofield Memorial Lecture\, “One Health Success: Moving Toward a World Free of Pandemics.” \nMazet\, DVM\, MPVM\, PhD\, is a professor of epidemiology and disease ecology\, and executive director of the One Health Institute in the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine\, where she focuses on global health problem-solving\, focusing on emerging infectious disease and conservation challenges. \nShe is active in international One Health research programs\, most notably in relation to disease transmission among wildlife\, domestic animals and people\, and the ecological drivers of disease emergence.
