DESCRIPTION:Prof. David Prescott\, Department of Economics and Finance\, will discuss his recent Leave for Change (L4C) experience supporting small business development in Malawi. \n“My month in Malawi gave me an appreciation of the people of Malawi and how they live — an appreciation that can only be achieved by living and working there\,” he says. \nLeave for Change is a program of the World University Service of Canada (WUSC) and Centre for International Studies and Cooperation (CECI)\, two leading international development organizations. \nAs a partner in this program\, U of G will support up to seven faculty and staff participating in short-term (three- or four- week) volunteer assignments in a developing country this year.
