SUMMARY:ONLINE: Biology and Control of SARS-CoV-2
DESCRIPTION:The Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) is pleased to host a webinar on COVID-19. This will be a moderated and interactive webinar aimed at providing up-to-date scientific information on the biology of SARS-CoV-2 and prophylactic strategies (such as vaccines) that are under development for control of this virus. \nThis will be an interactive session\, featuring several SARS-CoV-2 researchers. Each of the panelists will deliver a short presentation\, followed by an opportunity for discussion by all participants. \nThe webinar will be moderated by viral immunologist Prof. Shayan Sharif\, Department of Pathobiology\, who is associate dean of research and graduate studies for OVC. \nSARS-CoV-2 researchers also taking part are the following: \n\nProf. Sarah Wootton\, Pathobiology\, OVC\nProf. Byram Bridle\, Pathobiology\, OVC\nProf. Matthew Miller\, Department of Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences\, McMaster University\nDr. Samira Mubareka\, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and Sunnybrook Research Institute; Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology\, University of Toronto.\n\nThis free event is open to the public and will be held live on Teams Live.
