DESCRIPTION:On Jan. 24\, the Department of Philosophy welcomes Prof. Brooke Ackerly who will present her talk “Taking Responsibility for Climate Change: What People in Extreme Poverty Can Teach Big Donors (and the Rest of Us)”. \nAckerly is a professor in the political science department at Vanderbilt University. She is the author of Just Responsibility: A Human Rights Theory of Global Justice (2018); Political Theory and Feminist Social Criticism (2000); and Universal Human Rights in World of Difference (2008). She is also editor-in-chief of the International Feminist Journal of Politics.
