Attendees will get hands on experience exploring entry level tools such as Google Ngram\, Voyant\, and AntConc. \nPlease bring a laptop for your own use during the workshop with AntConc installed on it. \nPlease note: All software installation must be done before the workshop\, please ensure that you followed any account creation or software installation instructions. Out of courtesy to the class we will not be able to troubleshoot software set up during class time.

SUMMARY:Presentation and Q&A: World Food Prize Winner Dr. David Nabarro
DESCRIPTION:The Arrell Food Institute hosts Dr. David Nabarro for a free presentation and Q & A session. Registration is required. \nDr. Nabarro is Professor of Global Health at the Imperial College London and supports systems leadership for sustainable development through his Switzerland-based social enterprise 4SD. He is co-facilitator for the Climate Action Summit in September 2019\, advisor at the Global Commission on Adaptation in Rotterdam\, and curator of the Food Systems Dialogues. Dr. Nabarro secured his medical qualification in 1974 and has worked in over 50 countries – in communities and hospitals\, governments\, civil society\, universities and in United Nations (UN) programs. \nDr. Nabarro worked for the British government in the 1990s as head of Health and Population and director for Human Development in the UK Department for International Development. From 1999 to 2017\, he held leadership roles in the UN system on disease outbreaks and health issues\, food insecurity and nutrition\, climate change and sustainable development. In October 2018\, Dr. Nabarro received the World Food Prize along with Lawrence Haddad for their leadership in raising the profile and building coalitions for action for better nutrition across the Sustainable Development Goals.

This workshop has the intention of deconstructing what “body love\, acceptance and positivity” mean in the context of the individual\, community and culture in which we exist.
