SUMMARY:Data Skills Workshops: Data Analysis - SPSS Part 1
DESCRIPTION:SPSS is a statistical software package\, mainly used in the Social Sciences. It features a point and click interface which makes it easy for the user to learn. The purpose of this workshop is to introduce students to the software as well as its different functions and commands. Topics such as data entry\, manipulation and description will be covered as well as the basics of statistical analysis and interpretation using SPSS. This is a great opportunity for students to learn how to analyze their own data\, which is becoming an extremely valuable skill in research\, academia and the workplace. This workshop will be split into two parts. \nPlease bring a laptop for your own use during the workshop with SPSS installed on it. The latest version of SPSS can be downloaded for free from the CCS Software Distribution website. \nPlease note: All software installation must be done before the workshop. Please ensure that you follow any account creation or software installation instructions. \nMcLaughlin Library\, Room 289
