DESCRIPTION:Research Connections is a campus-wide research fair designed to help students explore what research looks like at the University of Guelph. Whether you’re curious about volunteering in a lab\, looking for a summer job\, considering an undergraduate research course\, or thinking ahead to graduate school\, this event is your starting point. \nDate: Monday\, Feb. 9\, 2026 \nTime: \n\n5 – 5:30 p.m. – Student registration and entry into Research Connections event\n5:30 – 7 p.m. – Presentations\, information booths\, networking\, and discussion\n\nLocation: In-person\, on-campus in Peter Clark Hall (University Centre; take the south elevators to level zero) \nWhat to expect:\n\nLearn about current research projects happening across campus\nExplore opportunities such as work-study positions\, volunteer roles\, grad school\, USRAs/URAs/ISURAs\, and paid summer research jobs\nGet advice on how to reach out to researchers and build connections\nLearn about services on campus that can give you a competitive advantage in your next application\, e.g.\, resume/cover letter writing\, interview skills\, peer helper and career advisor services.\nExplore information booths from key departments on campus that can help you along your undergraduate research journey and help prepare you for life after graduation.\nSocializing and networking in a fun\, casual\, and accessible setting\nFree food!\n\nWho should attend?\nStudents across all majors and degree programs are welcome!
