SUMMARY:2025 ICCI Cancer Research Symposium
DESCRIPTION:The 2025 ICCI Cancer Research Symposium will be held on Thursday\, June 5th in the Ontario Veterinary College learning annex\, room ECLA 1720\, and via Teams. \nWe are delighted to welcome Dr. Douglas Thamm from the Flint Animal Cancer Center\, Colorado State University\, as this year’s keynote speaker\, along with guest speaker Christina Ip-Toma\, Director of Scientific Programs at MIB Agents Osteosarcoma Alliance. We also look forward to hosting a variety of speakers from the Ontario Veterinary College and other institutions for updates on ongoing research. \nThis event will include more invited and short talks\, and poster sessions highlighting local and regional cancer research. Refreshments will be provided for registered attendees throughout the day. \nVisit the ICCI Cancer Research Symposium website for more details on the event along with links for registration and abstract submission. There is no charge for attendees; the symposium is graciously funded by the Arthur Willis Visiting Professorship Fund. Lunch and coffee breaks will be provided for registered attendees. \nWe encourage anyone working in cancer-related research to submit an abstract for a poster or 10 minute oral presentation. \nPlease email Deirdre Stuart at dstuar01@uoguelph.ca with any questions.

DESCRIPTION:The Graduate Student Accountability Group provides a welcoming\, safe\, and productive online space for graduate students to do their work. The group is facilitated by a learning specialist and is designed to help you identify small goals and accomplish them during short work periods. \nComments from previous participants: \n“The group is a great way to work in community and accomplish tasks in a set amount of time.” “DO IT! I was able to tackle lack of motivation and be productive in each session.
