DESCRIPTION:Connect with colleagues while working on your writing skills!  On Wednesday mornings in July\, participants will get together to socialize\, learn about writing skills\, and spend time working on a their writing projects. \n\nLocation: McLaughlin Library\, Room 384\nDates: July 10\, 17\, 24\, 31\nTime: 9:30 – 12 pm\nSchedule:\n\n9:30 to 10 a.m.: Group discussion\n10 to 10:30 a.m.: Short lesson on an academic writing skill\n10:30 a.m. to noon: Focused writing time\n\n\n\nNote: The event facilitator will be available for writing consultations during focused writing time.\nAfter registering for this event\, you will be invited to join an Academic Support Community for English language learners on Microsoft Teams. Writing and Learning Services staff will post regular updates about events to the group. Led by knowledgeable guides\, this tour will give you an insight of the histories and ecological life that define our community. \nCome along to enjoy stories of historical significance and cultural heritage sites along the banks\, and have opportunities to observe local wildlife in their natural habitat. Learn how people have affected the river over the century. \nRegister to attend. \nTours will run from 6 to 8 p.m. on July 17\, July 23\, July 25\, and July 31. \nTours will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sundays\, July 14 and July 21. \nTours held on the Royal Recreational Trail.
