DESCRIPTION:The best in Engineering Design projects will be on display this coming Thursday April 4\, 2024. Please join us as students from 2nd\, 3rd and 4th year design courses display their projects and compete for cash prizes. \nThe action begins in the Adams Atrium at 9 a.m. with 2nd year design – as students present their 3-D printed toy creations. \nCapstone Design (4th year) begins at noon throughout the Thornbrough building. 68 groups of senior engineering students display their projects and welcome industry judges in their assessments. \nDesign 3100 wraps up the amazing day beginning at 4 p.m. in RICH 25320. Guest judges join us here as well to determine the winners of the generous cash prizes. \nPlease take the time to visit Engineering on Thursday to see our best in Engineering Design.

DESCRIPTION:The prestigious Steacie Prize is named in memory of E.W.R. Steacie\, a physical chemist and former President of the National Research Council of Canada\, to whom much is owed for the development of science in Canada. The Prize is awarded annually to a young scientist or engineer in Canada. \nThis year’s recipient\, Dr. Asim Biswas’s and OAC’s School of Environmental Sciences will be hosting a campus-wide celebration (lecture and reception) for Dr. Biswas.
